Bella – the Christmas Bells Fairy
Hi! I’m Bella and I’m the Christmas Bells Fairy, it’s nice to meet you! Do you know why my flowers are called Christmas Bells? Well they flower from November to March and are usually blooming at Christmas time, which is why they have the name of Christmas Bells, plus they are shaped like a bell, and they are red and green and yellow like so many Christmas decorations.
During springtime when my flowers bloom the animals and birds are feasting on new shoots and flowers that have come out in the springtime, inside the Christmas Bell flower is sweet nectar that bees, insects, and nectar eating birds like honeyeaters love to eat. Even kangaroos and wallabies will come along and eat the whole flower! They think it’s very yummy.
